What do you think this means for the value of existing new & used MZ bikes in the US?
I feel bad for the dealers, must be hard to get invoice now. |

| Union Cycle says that parts come in from Gemany quicker than they did from US. No problem getting all parts |

| I would add Perry's Motorcycles and Sidecars in Fort Worth Texas. Perry sells MZ and currently has a 1000s, an RT125 and a consigned Mastiff. He is pretty good about keeping parts on hand - I bought a '94 500 Rotax from him a couple of years back. He has German connections (plus he speaks german). O.K. guys, Here is the deal.
I put a parts order in via e-mail on Wednesday Jan 4th with MZ that consisted of 29 different line items for a total of 65 total pieces. I received that parts order this morning (Wed Jan 11th) will a 100 percent fill ratio. I can't even tell you how much better that kind of service is that all of the other manufactures I deal with (Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, KTM, Vespa, Piaggio). I think that they even sent me via e-mail all of the most current parts books as most of mine were somewhat out of date.

| Just curious what any of you dealers have heard about the North American Distributor. someone told me that they were relocating to the west coast due to the half dozen hurricanes that have hit Florida in the past two years. Whazzup??!!?? |

I love al motorcycles and learn as much about them as possible I had never heard of mz till a ,misteak in directions landed me in a dealer showroom with one on the floor and me wanting a KLR 650. I fell in love and bought it 200 miles later my petcocke leaks and its been at the dealer for 3 weeks. Dag awnd bad luck

There is a rumour out there that MZ is coming back to the US.
It will be with a different distributor though.
Anyone heard anything? |

they may come back
hope this time with a line of bikes that will sell well
after 4 1/2 years with a rt125 it is a nice bike but needed to be a 400cc
for the us market i get along fine with a small bike because i also keep a 500cc to do the long distance... but most want 1 that does it all
and a 125 is just to small for our road speeds even though the rt125
is fast for a 4 stroke (i live in an area where most roads are posted 55mph or less so a 125 works fine for me and my riding style )
we will just have to wait and see what happens
