After the initial rush of bike lust, I reconsidered. I don't even have an indoor space for one of the two bikes I have; what am I doing adding more? It would end up squeezed in front of a car in a garage. That bike deserves better.

Add my Rotax 500 to the list. I have bought a new pair of wheels but will wait until spring to fit them. Note the lowered rear suspension. I still have not managed to start it on the kickstart . But it always starts first go on the button. Is there a knack?

there is a view window on the left side in the timing belt cover
there is a little white mark that lines up in window
use compression release to get white mark in window
carry flashlight so you can see it
bike on center stand and stand on ground to kick
turn choke on turn key on kick briskly with right leg.... for gods sake
dont let your leg go stright or you may make a sub orbital flight
with a broken leg
cold starts will make you love the electric start
once you have mastered kicking this bike
if you live in europe there are several brands that use this engine
with out the electric start they can be had cheap for daily drivers
as dam well no one i have talked to can get them kicked started
when engine is cold so if you live on a hill your in luck bump start it
first time in the am
i got mine to go with kick one day last fall when battery went low
but at age 60 i dont need a bike kicking me so not some thing i do to often

Bought it locally a couple of years ago, have put almost 10,000 miles on
it. Rode it to James Bay, Quebec, Canada last summer, 2600 miles in 8
days. People I was with think I'm nuts.
I love the bike, it has been absolutely reliable, (aside from the problems it
came with) and delivers excellent fuel economy + range. Motocross tires
+ homemade skid plate make it a champ in the woods on trails too.
Aluminum boxes on hepco becker racks make it a good
commuter/traveler.
I've added GPS, acerbis handguards, flexi mirrors, a givi topcase, and
bridgestone intermediate knobbies in 16 and 19 inch sizes (amazing
difference in dirt). Goes anywhere.
