You are pulling taller overall gearing with a heavily modded motor (I think I have read that elsewhere on the board) but what are your thoughts on final drive ratio running the standard motor fitted with M4 can and dynojet ?

hi Garf, you stil here?

Did you use the Dynojet kit for the Scorpion or the one for the Yamaha XTZ660?

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a shifter fork was worn and not pushing the gear fully into position. Once it pops out a few times the "dog" on the gear becomes worn and It will always fail (pop out of gear) sad to say but the motor must come out and you got to do what you got to do. Buy a oversized piston while your at it since you have to tear down the motor anyway might as well bump the displacement. You wont want to to this job again in the future to go bigger in the displacement department. A +1 or 2mm piston from the factory will work great. I have alot of miles on one and never had a problem yet
