well, had a good time on Sunday at the Spark plug Enduro, the club did a great job, and there was not so much water like last year!! the trails were all loamy, with no dust, just some small puddles to splash through.

well, got there at 7:15, signed up, minute 15, I like to be around min 6 or so, but oh well. first 15 miles were good, zeroed a couple checks, came pretty close to 0 e-points in the e- checks by being at excactly 30 seconds into my minute, it is starting to come back. hit the first special test pretty warmed up, pretty tight trail, has good flow, start to catch guys in front of me, but they all pull over pretty quickly, and I drop 1 in the test, on pace with the leaders (I was 15 seconds behind Jason Dahners time). hit the gas, eat, head back out on loop 2. zeroed the next 2 checks, have a real good score going now. but my left hand is starting to blister up real bad, so at the next gas stop, I beg fore some mole skin from a nice lady, but it puts me 3 minutes behind. I rip out of the gas stop, and ride like a maniac, and actually get to the next check on time. 2 miles later, in a test, I drop the bike on a slippery bridge, and break the clutch lever. No big deal on a 450, but I ride a 125.... the next section is fresh cut trail, mostly 1st and 2nd gear, with a 15mph speed average, would be no problem, but with no clutch, I have to ride really carefull, then the speed average goes to 18mph, and there is no way, so I drop 2 in that section. after the check, it is 18 all the way to the end, about 5 or 6 miles, I manage to get back on time, and arrive at the last check of the day. But, there is a 20 ft long 3 ft deep water hole leading into the check, the bike bogs, I can't pull in the clutch, and it stalls. I jump off, put it in neutral, and push it over the line 2 seconds after they flip the card, and I drop a point. oh well, i tried.....

I end up 2nd vet expert, with a 4 and 84 emergency points. 1st vet expert was a 3 with 126 emergency points. simple mistakes, thats all it takes sometimes.

Jason Dahners overalled with a 1 and 50 or so e-points, 3rd OA was a 3 and 80 e-points. I could have been on the podium OA, but hey, thats part of it....

Special thanks to all that help me out, you know the wife and such.
Also, Steve Haugland for loaning me a bike after mine went bang.

East Side Moto Sports for all their help.
Seattle Cycle Center also

I do run bark busters, but sometimes they are not enough protection. they work good for bouncing off of trees though
