Just returned from a 300 miles round trip to collect an MZ 125 SM for my youngest son (like father, like son) I have a Baghira and know enough to get by on that, but know nothing about the 125 models.
I would like to know the following
1. Does the engine use the same oil filter as any other bike?
2. Does MZ make a workshop manual?
3. Does anyone here have a copy of the owners manual for this bike?
4. How often should the bike be serviced?
5. How much oil does the engine take, and what grade?

Any further information would be appritiated.

Keith

1. Does the engine use the same oil filter as any other bike?
A oil filter is same as rotax engine bikes use k and n 151 or bmw f650 filter
2. Does MZ make a workshop manual?
A There is a shop manual for the rt125 phil at bsa should be able to get you a manual The rt125 will work for both bikes if there is none for sm

3. Does anyone here have a copy of the owners manual for this bike? \
A Pm me a email address and I will forward a copy of rt125 owners it should have All info you need

4. How often should the bike be serviced?
A I change my oil and filter about every 3000 miles

5. How much oil does the engine take, and what grade?
A I use shell rotella t 15w-40 ….1.2 L

the only mod i did was a 52 tooth sprocket from an sx it hurts gas mileage
but where i live most all roads are posted 55mph or less and it climbs hills
better ...details on request as adaptor is needed if your sm has alloy wheels if spoke its a bolt up but you may need to buy a few extra links of 428 chain
