was wondering what the rev limit is set at on the 660. My tach is jumpin' about a bit and it seems like rev limiter hitting quite early. The bike is a '96 with 4000 miles on it , not abusive or track bike. Has new fully charged battery. any one have simalar tach problem , and once again what is the rev limit ? I thouht it was like 7500 rpm...Thanks for any input

The CDi's are ultra reliable, but, being electrical, can breakdown or show intermittent faults.

The CDi from a Yamaha TDM850 plugs straight in, and lets the bike rev on to 7400 rpm, which is stil safe (seems to be the main mod in Supermono racing). try ebay for one-can sell for wildly fluctuating prices though.
