Curtis
I get the distinct immpression that you are not to pleased with MZ over their handleing of their operations in the USA.
Shame really and shows a tendency for the company to set itself up for failure.
In teh UK the company has the same attitude towards promoting their products. Again a shame as if advertised and priced properly they have a good product on offer.

Thanks for your support, dear members. I will probably have all my MZ 1000's sold by next week. The response was excellent and the reason the bike never went over the reserve ($7500) was because most people understood that they didn't have to buy from Ebay to get the same deal.
I will be offering the Baggies on Ebay for $3200 and $3500 each. I have a 05 silver and an 05 black panther with the normal ride height (not the tall one). The silver is the demo with less than 300 miles. You are the first to be offered these bikes. Again, no warranties, and I will not accept any lower offers. They are going back to the Floor plan company as a credit. I'm just passing the credit price to the people who can appreciate the bikes.
The MZ 1000's cost me $9800 with shipping. I know some dealers won't be happy about me passing the public this information, but what the heck, 1000S is dead in this country anyway, and probably the most of Europe as well. At least there should be plenty of spare parts to go around!
The Baggies bikes cost me $5500 and $5800 respectively and sold for $6000. This gives you an idea of what kind of money your local MZ dealer made on these bikes. In fact, I haven't met an MZ dealer yet who ever made any money from selling MZ’s. Oh well. _________________ Curtis Fisher

I think you will find the dealers made money selling MZ's in the UK. Mainly because quite a lot were sold to order, with just one or two machines being kept in stock. Not really a viable option in the USA I suppose.
