|
|
Hi guys,
Does anyone know the size (length, inside dia & spring rate) of the original WP rear shock spring on a standard height street moto Baghira, I think the stock spring is on its last legs after 13k as the previous owner has it compressed to the max and i am no lightweight at 110kg ,there is the option of going on a diet but i like my curries and beer too much. The front has been improved by fitting spacers that are 20mm longer (70mm in total) than stock along with 15weight fork oil.
Thanks in advance,
Kenny. |

I think the rate may be printed on the spring mate. I know Wonky at slipstream changed the spring to a higher rate on his project baggy which still uses the original rear shock so he should be able to point you in the right direction. He is a bit crock at the moment though after highsiding his commuter ER5 and breaking his wrist.

Taken from a documant supplied to me byMZ
Length in untightened position - 260mm
install length 262mm
spring rate 75N/mm
Spring rate tolerance =/- 5N/mm
marking 75/260
standard preload 28mm
minimum preload 20mm
thread pitch 1.5mm
negative spring deflection
without load 27mm 10%
1 person 84mm 30%
2 persons 146mm 52%
Hope this helps

I have the Baghira forest/enduro and i contacted WP to buy a spring for the weight of 120kg, they reckomended the 95nm spring.
I have it now and itīs just a little bit to stiff for me(also 110kg without all the gears). |
