below is my notes on the battery for the 125cc bikes
and there are no sealed batterys for this size battery
found this number but can not find it any where xt10L-a2 11ah 135mm 90mm 145mm make ???
i removed one from a car jump start pack and it is on its side
in the case and modes had to be made to make it fit
as for service its a do it your self bike here in the usa
a dealer about 400 miles from me shipped me a complete engine
and i replace a bunch of broken stuff and sent it back his boys had never been inside one and he only sold 3 of them
MZ RT125 BATTERY INFO
I went shopping at the Interstate Batteries dealer here
THE ORIGNAL BATTERY IS NOT VERY GOOD
THERE IS NO MZ LISTING IN THERE BOOKS
this applys to the RT125
YB9L-A2 IS A DROP IN
YB10L-A2 IS EASER TO FIND BUT YOU WOULD HALF TO REMOVE ABOUT
1/8 INCH FROM THE PLASTIC SIDE COVER AT THE BOTTOM AND ALSO 2 LITTLE KNOCHES
SO IT WON'T CUT THE RUBBER HOLD DOWN STRAP AND THE COVER SNAPS BACK ON OK
THE RUBBER STRAP THAT HOLDS BATTERY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO FIT INTO THE SPACE BETWEEN
THE BATTERY LUG AND CASE AS IT IS STREACHED TO FAR IF THIS IS NOT DONE
ALSO THE BOTTOM OF BATTERY NEEDS A BLACK COVER OR IT LOOKS BAD I USED THE
BLACK COVER OFF THE OLD BATTERY HEAT IT WITH A HAIR DRYER TO PEAL IT OFF
type ah length width height L W H weight cca
YB9L-A2 9 5-5/16 3 5-9/16 138 77 141 5.3 124
YB10L-A2 11 5-5/16 3-9/16 5-3/4 136 91 146 7.0 160
YB10L-A2 is also usable in sm sx 125 and fits ok as installed by some one else on the mzriders .com site

I'll have to check which one I installed. Didn't fit too well, bulges the plastic a bit and required some trimming of the tabs to get it to fit right. I think it was the YB10L-A2. _________________ Relax. You'll live longer. |
