hi to all
i've just put new seals in the forks on my skorpion sport special
the book says 350ml of fluid per leg but that seems far too much !
are there different forks with different volumes or something ?
or does anyone have a measurement from the tops of the forks to the oil level ?
the bike is a 96 model sport
thanks in advance of expert advice

No grief necessary!

300 ml Tour
350 ml Sport

Some people indeed go with a measurment: from the oil level to the top of the tube with the fork compressed (without the spring!) is 160 mm.

I always go with 350 ml and leave it at that. You may need to compress your fork a few times before you add all the oil to get the air out, but honestly I've never had to do that either.

10 w is stock, I like 12.5 and have used 15 w as well.

i think the thicker oil is best as there is a bit more weight over the front end than standard
thanks for the info !

Wow, what motor is that. Look like a Yamaha 750/850/900 twin.

850
not the best fit in the world - still needs a nice tank making etc
but it has solved the performance shortage of the single cylinder engine
