Anyone have an idea how I can get the thermostat on my 1000s to turn the fans on at a lower temperature? I think the fans should turn on sooner.

After 6 years of ownership, my fans went on last week for the first time- hot day and idling for a while in my driveway.

Can't help you on that one....How many bars show on the dash when moving? Mine shows four bars, even down in the south with 95+ degree temps as of late. At a stop all bars will light, but they never have flashed (which the manual says you should shut it down if that happens) My fans will run for short periods at idle, usually after a good flogging, but I'm not too worried. I'm running engine ice, before it was the factory coolant which I recall it running at five bars while rolling. |

I changed to the engine ice also...I never got the flashing red bars, But I think it runs hot...My buddy has an aprilia mille and he had his swith changed to turn on sooner
