I ride a MZ 660 Baghira Black Panther (13500 km). I bought it last year in August and I'm absolutely happy with it. Before that I had a CBR600 F PC35 30.000 km (sold), a Transalp 44.000 km (sold), a KLR 650 Tengaii 20.000 km (smashed into a Mercedes), CB450 N 5.000 Km (hit by a Toyota Starlet). After my expearances with the a.m. Bikes I can say that the Baghira is the best bike till now. The second place goes onto the Tengaii. Third is the CBR600F.
What about you? |

I also have beenriding the Black Panther for about 2 years now. I come from a dirt background ( Vet Expert Enduro Racer), and feel the MZ is the best all around street bike for the money. It's not the fastest, but it is reliable, GREAT looking, and fun as hell.
I have surprised street bike guys in the twisties before!!
what Mmods have some of you done??? _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther

Hi,
another Black Panther from Germany here too
I'm having it since 99 and bought it new. Best bike I'd ever had (before: Yam DT80LC, Yam XT600, Yam XJ600, Yam SZR660, Yam FZR600R). Seems that Yamaha is my favorite
Did several mods to the bike. Some examples:
* tuning stage 1
* black aluminium rims
* front fairing
* exhaust mods
* new cockpit
Now it's your turn.... _________________ Black Panther 99

just finished mounting Titanium can from 2004 YZF450. Re-worked license plate bracket, moved rear turn-signals, and I am going to use Acerbis Diamond Headlamp and Supermoto fender to shorten up the front,
I dont like the stock rear Turnsignals, so ordered some 2004 BMW M3 clear side repeaters, gonna mount them into the side of the rear fender under the grab bar. let you all know how it turn out
Last month, I fitted a set of Ducati 748 twin cans, Flanking the fender, tucked up high, But they Sounded too wimpy, and are not easily modified.
Scrapped the whole project and went with the conventional single style.
Sorry for the long post... _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther

I have some pics, but camera will not load. I will try again this weekend.
it looked really cool, and I got the cans for $25.00 on e-bay. They had never been run. Rear cap is riveted, I drilled all the rivets out, but could not get it apart to remove baffles. I haven't scrapped the whole project, may try to re-do this winter. the Acropovic ducati cans are REALLY expensive. _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther
