Bummer!!

had my buddy house sit for us while we were on vacation. I said he could enjoy all my toys, (RD, Corvair, Baggy)

He put 795 miles on the Baggy in 4 days, The endurance computer records max speed, 96.8 mph. I will be taking the key with me next time.

Don't know where to get plastic, order direct from MZ North America??

Not sure if you are in the US but if so, go to the motorradna.com site and find a local dealer. The dealer can order the parts from Florida. I tried to get a speedo from Florida but they wouldnt sell direct. Im in NY and the parts only took 4 days from ordering over the phone to "its-in". Your dealer may be able to have them direct shipped or resend them to you if they are far away. Funny, I justnoticed that the na.com site doesnt have a link to this site, that will change soon I hope.

Well you did tell your buddy to enjoy himself, seems he did just that.

Just be thankful you dont live in the UK, the cops have unmanned cameras that record speed and if they take a picture of a vehicle speeding the fine goes to the owner. It then up to the owner to tell them who was riding.
