Hi to all the gifted, Am going to service ( 4000 ) on the Baggey, couple of questions i would be gratefull of your commenta
1= what engine oil do you recomend, ie 10/40 semi or fully synthetic
2= tappets are checked cold ? what is the clearance.
3= do you wash the air filter and impregnate it with the apprpriate oil or substitute the air filter with ?

I use Pentosin 5w-40 synthetic, every 2500 miles.
the valve spec is on the sticker on the swing arm. set them cold..
I like the No Toil brand air filter oil, because it cleans up with soapy water. just a light coat from the outside if you don't do any off-road. and a thin coat of waterproof grease on the base area.
check the rear sprocket bolts every 200 miles or so, and replace the stock allen bolts with some hex head, and use blue locktight. _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther
