I need to lower my Saxon Tour 500. Would it be OK to replace the rear dampers with 350mm ones insted of the 360mm originals. That 15 mm should be OK for me . The only passanger I carry is the misses and shee is a light weight at 48Kg.

Thanks for your help

Julian

Well I changed over the rear dampers at the weekend. Was quite prepared to move the front fork sliders up 15mm as well. But as surgested by a friend I tried it out. It did make much change to the way the bike handles. The only problem seems it's a longer drop off the centre stand but I can get used to that. Now I can put both feet on the ground.

what brand and part number did you use

and the bike has quick steering stock and in the usa the oem size rear tire
is not sold and the 120/80-16 we fit here makes it even quicker

The units are stock MZ 250 without adjusters They are set on the hard setting. The rear tyre is a Michelin M45 350- 16.

I'd agree - anything to slow the somewhat nervous steering of an ETZ is definitely worth having - the bikes handle sweetly but I'd trade some of that super-quick steering for a little more stability in the corners.

Great fun little bikes though and tough as they come Smile

the bike is ok for me but i dont need a friend to bust his ass on it

because of its to steep fork angle
