Hey all.

I picked up a 125SM (used), and have been having a blast on it for the past few weeks. Last weekend I took it up Calavares Rd, to Felter Road. From there I followed Mission back to 84, then Palomares, which led me home.

I tell ya, maintaining corner speed on these roads is a treat! Rowing through the gears is a ton (mertic tonne?) of fun as well.

the pictures look a lot like US RT50 in west virginia east of Grafton and
on east into Maryland

Now that you have some miles on it i think you will agree with me
it's a SWEET RIDE even with it's small engine size by most folk's standards.....
after 3 years and 11,000 miles it's still sweet because it save's me $25usd
a week in gas over using my truck to get to work
and run my local trips

how many miles on it and what do you think so far

and remember these are tight motors it will not be broken in till
about 3500 to 4000 miles

rt125 in wv usa

Thanks, DT! I bought the bike with 600mi on it, and have doubled the mileage in two weeks. I ride it to work on occassion, and average roughly 70mpg.

The tires are so-so, and I had them overinflated (e.g. inflated at just below spec, whereas I've been told 20-24psi is ideal for grip in the twisties), resulting in a bit of front-end sliding on aggressive corners.

Coming from sportbikes, I really appreciate how easy it is to get to everything in this bike. The previous owner installed a connector for a battery tender, solving the issue for the tucked-away battery. I had the plastics and gastank off in 15 minutes, ready to access the engine (I'm working up the courage to do the timing advance).
