Hi all
Dont know if anyone on this forum has come across this one.
While pushing my bike forward everthing is OK, however if I push it backwards the front brake binds quite bad. If I apply the front brake on hard, its all right for 2 or 3 turns of the wheel, then its back to it binding agian.
I think its wear in the brake sliding pins / caliper, but before I go to getting one it would be good if someone has experienced this before and confirm my diagnosis.

Hi Keith, it's most probably a brake sliding pins / caliper type issue as you suspect, the pads wear sharp end forward like a front tyre, and the more play there is the worse it gets |

Hi Boysie
I might try replacing the pads. If this temporarily solves the problem I will know its the pins that are worn. If so I may have to look at replacing the caliper complete, maybe a 4 or 6 pot off of a Suzuki as they can be found quite cheaply and then fabricate my own bracket.
Either I will let you know what happens.
BTW are you going on teh ride out on the 11th of September.
