Hey all,

Just thought I'd pass on a few tips about the mirrors.

1. When removing the clutch-lever and brake-lever perches, remove the mirrors first. The bottom of the mirror screw may be resting against the top retaining screw for the perch.

2. When tightening the mirrors, use the nut on the mirror stem to lock the mirror down. Rather than using the nut, I used the natural resisitance of the mirror stem in the hole, which effectively caused the top screw of the perch to become partially stripped.

3. For replacement mirrors, Suzuki Intruder/Volusia parts will fit in a pinch. When I bought the bike and rode it home, I had no mirrors (the previous owner had done a few trackdays and taken them off). I stopped by a riding buddy's house, and he lent me his for a bit. He accused me of being a Raiders fan afterwards (black bike with silver mirrors). Bastard!

4. The perch retaining bolts are M6x25mm. M6x20mm may also work, but they're shorter than the original, so they're held on by fewer threads. Probably not something you want to do with your forward controls.

Feel free to share any others.
