| If no one knows the answer to my last post, how about any after market brake rotor for the Sport Cup? I know EBC makes a Pro Light rotor, which I have tried to order from Bike Bandit twice this past year, only to be told its back ordered. I actually think this rotor for the Skorpion doesn't exist in this world. Thanks. Jimbo |

You can get ANYTHING for your MZ in 5 to 14 days from Phil at BSA Regal call 011 44 23 8036 6404 remember there is a 6 hr time difference.

| hi jimbo there are several brake rotors that fit the skorpion, some of the ducati rotors fit, and also from the yamaha tzr 125 and szr. i'm sure there are even more bikes where the brake rotor is the same |

I just baught a brand new front brake rotor for my Skorpion race bike. Now I don't need it because I bought the TZR660 Steve helped to post on the board last month. I'd love to ship it to rather than have it sit around. You would also be helping out a racer on a tight budget. The part cost me $99.00. A sponsor covered the shipping so that's all I have into it. I would appeciate a resonable offer. Otherwise I can try the for sale forum.

Which Ducati rotor is 316mm....?
I can't find it in the EBC cross directory.
There is no other application in EBC catalog for the
Skorp rotor.
Omrra is that a stock OE rotor of an after market rotor? |

I had orderd a rotor for my skorp (traveller MD619RS))via brakes4u.co.uk and it arrived in about 3 days. I would check that the place you tried first actually ordered it.
I didin't get the oem from phil as I had gone through 3 of them in the past year and they kept warping no one could find any mis alignment problems or frozen pistons so I thought I would try something else.

Warping.....how did you measure the runout ?
Are you hard on the brakes ....stoppies etc? ?
The pistons have a tendency to stick....unless lubricated with silicone grease.
MD619RS is the EBC rotor with an alu
center carrier. |

| Thanks for the input. I just ordered the EBC rotor that I wanted originally from the brakes4u website. Thank you. Now I'll have to cancel the brake rotor order I placed this morning from BSA Regal (I really didn't want the stock rotor anyhow, but was having trouble finding the EBC rotor.) This is a great forum. First two times it warped a main dealer checked it and yep its warped they replaced it both times under warranty no hassles no problem. By the third time I didn't need anyone to tell me, and I thought I'll try something different so replaced the caliper rotor and pads at the same time.
No stoppies not what I would consider hard on the brakes could have been a bad batch of discs or my bad luck.
Now I throughly clean the brake on a regular basis and keep it thoughly lubricated with brake fulid on any reassembly and are very careful about positioning when I reattach the caliper.
Looking for wood to knock on now.
I would say the EBC one seems to be a significant quality step up from the oem one. so far....

Actually, the EBC with it's Alu semi floating carrier will get sloppy before the stock rotor. The stock uses steel on steel contruction. I'm not convinced about steel on alu for longevity.
They went to Alu to save a few ounces...for the racing posers. |
