Some others have probably wondered like me why compression in one leg and rebound in another. Well the circuits are definitely different! Left side is on right, right on left...sorry. Notice the bottom is very different, and the top of the cartridge on the left side has large return holes in it that the right side does not. Found it interesting anyway.

So in the latest saga update (been over two weeks now)... Race Tech does not have the correct parts spec for either the inner leg "sliding" bushing, or the dust seal. The oil seal and outer leg bushing they sent were exact replacements. Of course this seems to only apply to the 45mm Marzocchi Magnum fork the Baggi/Mastiff use?

Good news after all this is that SF Moto, in San Fran, keeps two sets of seals and bushings in stock according to Tony. Tony also rides a Baghira so should be quite helpful! Phil at BSA Regal had 3 of the 4 parts too, so guess I should have gone to a dealer first. Oh well.

Guess, I'll try and dream up a few more mods, cleanings, repairs, and replacements while my bike is hanging from the ceiling for another week.

Those...the specs I added to the alternative/parts list doc? They're wrong? I must change it? (I can't remember if they were what Race Tech said or you measured them.)

I think I might have provided you the measurements? They are correct.

Race Tech parts FZBO 45P (outer bushing) and FZOS 45P (oil seal) are correct. Parts FZBI 45P (inner bushing) and FZDS 45P (dust seal) are NOT correct spec. Their parts were basically same price as those from SF Moto, so turns out there was nothing to gain by going to them.

ok, thanks. I think that's it. Those numbers - the Race Tech numbers - they're not in the doc, I don't remember seeing them. I could add the 2 that are right but it's probably no big deal.
These are parts that some of us might want to get for spares, though, against the day we can't get them from BSA Regal or anyone else - and I wouldn't count on being able to get anything from Marzocchi.

There's not a whole lot that is crucial. Frame parts can be fabricated, the Yamaha engine parts should be around for a while - and when they aren't, we're screwed anyway, the lights, plastic body parts ...I dunno.
