The solentsupermoto guys were as suprised as me at the power output on tmy baggie. And no it won't stop me using the bike. It still runs ok with its reduced power output. Might even get one of the mechanics at the event to have a look. They might have some good ideas. See you there on Sunday.

Just to keep you all out of date, I let MZ Germany know of my problem with the diapragm in the right hand carb and recieved this supply.
Not the answer I was expecting, but at least I did get a reply.

Sorry for late replay. There was a lot of work to do.
The fault with the right hand side carburetor has its reason in fuel, which contacts the diaphragm for a longer time, if, for instance, the bike falls down or the carburetor was disassembled without drain the fuel out of the floater housing before disassembling. Wrong adjusting of valves and carburetor can result backfire and last not but least the same affect.
We recommend to look for correct adjustment. Disassemble the diaphragm, please. Dry the diaphragm for about 2 days in a sunny place and it can be used again or use a new one.
The fault with a wet diaphragm must not be automatically a warranty fault as you can see above.
For the future mind please: After a crash (we don´t wish that you will have a crash!) look for an eventually wet diaphragm and let it dry outside the carburetor before driving again.
We wish you for the future that now faults will disturb you in driving your bike!

Well I finally fitted teh new diafragm and its made a big difference higher up the rev band. Turned out teh old one had a small split in it. All I need to do now is get it on a dyno again to see what the power output is.

| Let me know when you are doing the dyno shoot and I will bring mine along for comparison. Its definitely got more with the new exhaust and the drilled airbox.. It will be interesting to see how much they really produce.. |

Well I am back from the dyno and great news, the carb fix worked. A much better 46.24 Rear Wheel Brake Horsepower. Seems othe owners claims are right, I was beginning to have my doubts, sorry to all.

| No pics because I made sure the holes were under the seat line. All it is are 4 X 22mm holes 2 a side... just seems to let it breathe... |
