I got back from a 4 hour trip today on my sport cup. when I pulled up at my house I noticed the engine was stained with coolant. When the bike cooled down I opened the radiator cap and saw no coolant! I put some in to see how much was lost (about a pint not counting any air in the system) I started up the bike again and found the culprit, a leaking hose clamp. I was not going too fast, about 60MPH tops. The wether was pretty mild. The engine temp light did not go on but of corse it would not if there was not enough coolant. The bike rode fine there was no noticeable change in performance. My question is what is the likelihood of engine damage? _________________ 01 Sport Cup

i pop the cap and check my water daily
on my rt125
in 2 years i have had the fan come on one time that
i heard it working
i unplug the fan cord and hook it up to a battery and test run it about once a month to make sure it is not locked up from lack of use

did you hear any Pinging? they will turn on the light with out coolant, the head temp alone could turn it on. _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther

No pinging, the performance did not change in any way. I assumed the heat sensor was in the radiator as in a car. This is my first liquid cooled bike. Do you know what the coolant capacity is on the 660? _________________ 01 Sport Cup

For the Baghira and the Mastiff it is 1250 cc according to the handbook. I would guess the sport cup is the same |
