According to MCN, Aprilia is going to be making a new supermoto, powered by the Yamaha XT660 engine, the Strada.
Could make for some interesting stoplight conversations. Baggys and Stradas, speaking German and Italian, with Japanese accents. |

My Dad said there was a big motorcycle plant deep inside the earth
with doors in almost every country
that shipped them to dealers
here in the usa some suz and kaw bikes are the same except for
the name tags and some plastic
CCM of UK used a suz 400 motor in the 404 but some one said they
went down the tubes mid summer 04 (usa term filed chapter 11)
the turn signals on my mz RT125 are the same as on a friends
Buell
atkusa.com atk sold some MZ fun-x mikes as a 125 enduro in 02-03 ?
so if you like a certain bike buy it then if you like it and deside
to keep it buy a couple more junk one's about 4 or 5 years later for parts
and have fun and learn to work on it your self because your dealer
probely doesn't know how eather _________________ Dave 2002 MZ RT125+95 Saxon Tour in WV USA "I like the road less traveled if it's PAVED!."

The new Aprilla uses the new 660 engine, diffeent to the MZ/Yamaha engine. It would be interestin to see if teh new Yam engine would work in teh MZ frame though

If the specs I read on this motor were correct, it has a 4 valve head, not the 5 valve 'genesis' head like the motors our bikes use. I wonder if they did that just for money's sake or if the new head flows that much better with only 4 valves. _________________ Hella Yella, coming ta getcha! |
