No - more in between an XR200 And an XR250 Honda. Faster than an XR200 or CRF230 Honda. _________________ two MZ 125's

hey if it's good enough to compete with an xr,
i'd be more than happy....
so let me get this straight.....
What I need is:
150cc piston
remap CDI(to 13 000rpm,right?)
Porting to be done on intake and exhaust
jetting(no need to change the carb do i??or should i?
re-bore(i don't need new sleeve,right?)
new end can
did i miss anything??
i can still use the stock valve, right??
Hey Dave,
i didn't know there is a turbo-charger for small cc bikes??
i've heard of big bikes.....
is it real???or possible?? |

THE FLAG BELOW MY SIG IS
TO GET THE EYE OF THE GUY THAT

Haven't found any turbos rated for smaller motors - have looked for one for a couple of years. I've been told that a turbo isn't efficient on small bore engines due to exhaust pressure issues with too small an engine. I was also told a supercharger would work fine!! I realllllly had no luck finding a small supercharger.
Sorry - No further ideas!
Tried contacting the German company that sells the large carb kits and CDI units wth the REV limiters set to 13,200 rpm. No response - Maybe no English speakers there. Any idea where I might obtain the CDI units with the REV limiter set higher here in the USA.
Thanks _________________ two MZ 125's

The archive message alive again...
Well of all the experiments, now i have modded my bike with a 150cc kit which is DIY... i also noticed that the water jacket is very narrow... and my head gasket patched with gasket glue to prevent some water leakage.. the carb jetting is a big problem in malaysia coz there are no choise for pilot jet and only some choise for main jet... so now my idling was sucks.... this coming saturday will change my carb to a mikuni 28mm flatslide carb... power wise is great which i admit that the power is better than XR200 but torque is lower than xr250.... the bike easily can touch 150kmh... my sprokets setup for front is standard 16t and my rear is 49t.
so what i need now is the advise from those guys who had done their bike to 150cc. Is there any problem? side effect or anything else to be caution?
regards

the kit sold here went away with the mzna importer but piston was a wisco
and used a steel liner but i want to see if i can do a conversion to my spair engine and have the lining redone at a shop that does a friends ktm
and not use the liner make it like oem but bigger piston
and how did you come out on the home made pic cdi unit _________________ Dave 2002 MZ RT125+95 Saxon Tour in WV USA "I like the road less traveled if it's PAVED!."

the homemade CDI unit is perfect but the only thing is the remapping.... i need to copy the original remapping and re-edit it... Now i just shifted to a new home, so when everything is settle down i will continue my r&d... later i will show you the circuit improvement coz there is still plenty of bugs wiggering around but first i have to get done my carbs then i will proceed further to improve...
the original CDI i have removed the silicone and see through inside which the board is 2 layer with smd components. Very complicated as i can say... certain part in the circuit is useless as i really dont know why they do a stupid looping back current for nothing... and the thyristor in the original CDI will not last long coz it is a very small thyristor without heat sink. As the thyristor gets hot and there is no heat distribution/transfer thats why most of the CDI kaput so easily...
i will try to re-design all the bike circuit which in a cheaper cost ....
My second attempt is to replace the meter panel with those have RPM (12000rpm), Speedo and temp meter indicator.
Will update once everthing is done... estimated after Christmas
ohhhh by the way I WISH EVERYONE MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. God bless may your bike unleashed the power of XR250.....hahaha
regards

I kinda love this sentence....
Quote: | "turn on the brain befor you turn on the bike"
|
huhhh when i say "sentence" i remember a movie "MIND YOUR OWN LANGUAGE" Ranjit Singh answer the exam: What is "sentence" and he answered "you will have sentence before you go to prison"
haha old times...
Lol Back to the topic (geezzz it just sway out of the topic)
Dave could u tell me what is your spair engine specification and what is the rpm advance and retard rate? and if possible mail me the CDI connection diagram of the original one.... i might have 1 cdi can use for your bike.... and dont forget pls let me know the original max RPM.
Regards
