My tach pegs to 8000 rpm when I turn the ignition key to "on". It stays there until I turn the key off. The engine does not need to be running, and no difference when the motor is running - it stays pegged. Has anyone seen this problem or have any advice? '95 Tour, thanks, Jim |

hello
sounds like it has died
take it apart and make sure it is not full of water or the
printed board is not covered in green copper oxide
and shorting things out its got voltage so i think short or bad cap
inspect for burned componets or a busted cap
with out being there to look at it thats about all i can thank of
and i will shed a tear as you dig deep in your pocket for the
wagon load of cash a new one will cost

Thanks DT,
The temps in the morning are hovering around 32 deg F so the MZ will be parked soon. I'm not sure how much ambition I have at this time so that might be a spring project. I don't think its water but you can never tell...oh well. Jim |
