Well after a summer in Iraq, I got a chance to make up for a summer of lost riding while in the sandbox. Anyhow me and another army doc took my BMW K12RS and R1150GS down to Intermot in Munich.
I am currently in a quandry as to which bike to buy. I am considering a Duc ST4S, Duc 1000 supersport, a new BMW K12S or an MZ 1000S to replace my K12RS. I am stationed in Germany and met with the MZ guys at Intermot and came away impressed with their bikes. They would even let me pick up a US spec bike at the factory. Aprilia won't sell a US spec bike however Ducati will. Go figure.
Alright enough BS on to the pics.

thanks for the pictures there some of the best i have seen
so far of the 1000s
if they did as good a job on the 1000s as they did on my rt125
you will love it and for a lot less than the new bmw thats soon to be
after 35 years on BMW they have set prices i cant pay for a bike
so i will fix one of the old ones and ride MZ's
my 1995 saxon tour (500cc rotax) goes fast enough to open up ones eyes wide
ar dave

very nice pics!! looks like you are making the right choice. how does it compare price wise to the new BMW? could you get the 1000's and a Baggy for the same price as the new BMW?

After riding the MZ1000S it is the one to buy, especially with 2 year unlimited warranty and the $10999 price!

Well I get US spec BMWs through military sales at a big discount. FYI my 2004 r1150GS was 11,800 with stateside price of 14,500. So I think I could save a big chunk of change on the K12S.
Now with the MZ, I would have see if I can get the factory to make it worth my while to take a chance on an "unproven US spec bike". So if the weather holds out next weekend or over the Thanksgiving holiday then I will throw a leg over one and give you guys the low down.

So when are they putting this engine in a Super Motard chassis? Could be fun and quick enough to keep pace with the new KTM 950.

Keith, they are working on a 1000 enduro.street. supermotoard. The problem is that 1000sf and 1000 s both use the same frame and the new bike needs a new frame. I'm being tola a 12 to 18 months
