Ironic or what....I Only found this site tonight after 3 years of trying to find info on MZ and now I've found it when I'm selling the bike. Confused

Anyway details below and feel free to ask any questions.

Y 2001 MZ mastiff £2300 ono

686cc - due to high comp 102mm JE forged piston
carb n airbox mods and set up on rolling road
vfr caliper on ti bracket - supplied with original also.
stage 1 cam
Race pipefitted but also included is the MOT friendly "popcorn maker"
gas flowed
Recent rear maxis and clutch plates

51.5 RWHP
58.5 at the crank
51.1 lb/ft (you know it makes sense)

Slipstream provided all the above mods, which were done with a view to road riding without sacrificing reliability. Cool

hey- nice bike. looks good in all red.

I like your muffler position. Who makes the exhaust? Or is it custom?

[Gedge - that looks just like your custom muffler setup!!!]

Questions:
- does it vibrate now (more than stock?).
- 3rd gear wheelies?
- does it run good on regular pump gas?
- Did you fit larger header pipes too?
- exactly what carb and airbox mods done?
- miles per liter?

Thanks for more info.

Ivan

Who makes the exhaust = custom made by zaustec as I wasn't happy with what was available off the shelf - short pipe, tuned for torque.

Questions/answers:
- does it vibrate now - no more than before, in fact it seemed better.
- 3rd gear wheelies - not by me as I don't wheelie.
- does it run good on regular pump gas - runs on standard unleaded, I've never tried it on super (its good enough already)
- Did you fit larger header pipes too - stock header pipes
- exactly what carb and airbox mods done - exact jets etc are unknown as these were fitted and set up by a dyno specialist, the air box has a few large mouse holes on each side (see above photo)
- miles per liter - don't know, don't care but not much less than standard

Check out the attached dyno chart

Stu

I thought you knew about this site (spread the word!!)? Not sure if others here realise you are in the UK though.

I can vouch for the bikes description-it definately does exactly as it says on the dyno charts-put against my (admittedly running in and bog standard) Baggi, it stomped all over it. And more than a few more "race" orientated machines were given a right royal shock too.

NMRO, great fun and eye opening for some of the "race" machinery......how they'll cry into their beer when they remember the time the MZ blitz'd em .

Still I'm due a change so its gotta go although I've been talking about getting rid since march and still haven't advertised it other than on here and visordown.

PS, I'm in the UK.

Where abouts in teh UK? Have you looked at the following site?

www.solentsupermotos.co.uk.

Eventually I want to carry out the mods you have had done to my Baggi SM, but without so many holes in the air filter box as some of the green lanes I use have ruts filled with water that would pour into the holes you have.

Keith
