front fender is acerbis supermoto universal.
thanks for the feedback! I like it too. Doesn't look so much like a BMW anymore. _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther

Also, how much to do the same thing to my bike, you think? I have a guy who will do custon muffler/pipe work for a fair price and was wondering what other slip-on pipes/mufflers would sound good on this BP? I don't really feel like shelling out 450-500 bucks for an M4 slip-on can...

I have a used Sebring muffler of a Honda CBR900R on my BP and the sound is very nice
But more important for me is that the engine doesn't lose power and for that the Sebring is good too. _________________ Black Panther 99

Does it add any power or torque to your engine? Or is it simply a weight savings/audio improvement muffler?
Thanks for the reply,

The engine already has more power because of a bigger bore and power head pipes. But if I compare with another engine which has the same mods but the original (modificated) muffler, it has slightly more torqe between 6000 and 6500 rpm.
red line=stock engine (torque)
blue line=modified engine with Sebring muffler (torque) _________________ Black Panther 99

as far as cost goes, I bought the pipes on e-bay for $25.00. once i made the mounts, I built the mid pipes out of stainless bathroom grabrailings from the hardware store, 1.25 and 1.5 inch. diameter. they cost me about $65.00.
it took 2 full days, but well worth the effort.
I also got a stock titanium end can from a 2003 or 2004 YZF450F, and fitted it in about 3 hours. The service manager at my local dealer had a couple of them lying around, and gave me it for FREE!!. I cut the front 6 inches of the stock pipe, cut the end off of the 450 pipe, and welded them together. the pipe diameters were the same, and the fit is good. It is VERY loud, but the power gain is worth it. I built the ducati cans because they look cool and they are quiet. Much less likely to attract attention from police.
it is nice to have both systems, they serve diff purpouses, and can change them in about 30 min. I prob should re-jet with the 450 pipe, but it runs pretty good with out, and doesnt get hot. _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther
