so i pick my bike up last week ride about 40 miles and it dies. Luckily it was around the corner from the local Ducati dealer. I take it there and they inform me the rectifier is "dead"( not charging the battery)
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a replacement available that is made by Yamaha or do I need to get one from MZ?
Update : after removing the part, the first thing i see is a Yamaha symbol next to a part number. So now to see if the dealer i bought the bike from can get a replacement for me by Friday _________________ matt maroon

someone else on this board had that problem, new bike, I think the fuse was blown, battery was installed backwards, German wire colours and all.... _________________ 2001 MZ Black Panther

The MZOG group on yahoo.com under the groups has a files section that has a nice drawing of the wiring. It also has a diagram of the rectifier wiring. _________________ matt maroon
