Nahh... the dreams I'm having are of placing a pipe on my bike that will make it sound like a Ducati and double my torque. Hehe... just a dream.

Oh... and that pipe wouldn't cost more than $100 either.

I was so close to biting the bullet and buying the IDS2 this morning, but I think I'm gonna drag my feet just a tad bit longer and wait until after the weekend. If nothing else comes up or makes me change my mind between now and then, I will be placing my order. They say it takes them about 1-2 days after the order is placed for them to make up the "S" bend, but everthing else is in stock and it would ship shortly after that.

if they can do custom works...ask them to do an extra lengthy "S" bend.. ....just for the look...can act as extra engine guard!!

will the "S" bend be slightly bigger than stock ones??or just the same??

Well, when they're talking "S" bend, I believe they are refering to the pipe the connects the muffler to the headpipe, not the headpipe itself. It's probably more straight than an "S". The stock muffler and this pipe is one piece and connects to the headpipe just behind the frame. The SuperTrapp IDS2 can is just that... a can. There needs to be a piece that goes between the can and the headpipe. That's the "S" pipe. I'm sure it will likely be very close to the same shape as the stock one (which again is part of the muffler).

PowRoll takes the universal IDS2 racing muffler from SuperTrapp, modifies the bracket, manufacters the "S" pipe, slaps it all together and calls it their own. So, no... the IDS2 is not specifically made for the MZ125 but after some testing and development from PowRoll, it looks like it may as well be. Since the IDS2 is adjustable by adding or removing internal discs, it can be tuned however you like.

Hi,

I know the need for an improved flow can for the RT, but I have to say judging by what you have said about sound etc the IDS2 would be a mistake to buy.

The bestthing I got from mine was the s bend pipe. In order to quiet it down I had to remove so man discs that it flattened it out too much leading to a loss of what i felt was appropriate power.

I live in Bermuda and here we have a number of 125's (max cc is 150 legally allowed/15bhp) Crappy but thats the law.

I have a Tagekawa pipe there are also a range of other exhausts I have seen . Basically a 125 4 stroke pipe will work for all ... so maybe take that extra dayand have a think. I only say this as I was super keen for the Supertrapp but after buying was sorely disapointed.

My Tagekawa runs great and sounds good too.

thats my 4 cents.

ptong

can you post the website of the exhaust Tagekawa
i get no hits when i search for it

the stock pipe is getting tired on my rt125 at about 9500 miles

the stock pipe sets to high and takes up too much room that is
needed for a proper set of saddle bags i dont go around corners
like an "id ten t "so i dont need them very high

I spent some time searching for this as well, but came up with nothing. I'm thinking maybe it is mispelled or something.

I'm finding TONS of stuff for Takegawa (mostly for smaller 50cc stuff), but I've yet to find anything for the MZ 125.

Hmm... well, I've been swamped and haven't ordered the SuperTrapp like I said I was gonna do. I did send them an email today though and asked them if they carried other things like sprockets or accessories for my Derbi GPR50 (neither of which). If they did, I could order it all at once and save shipping.

I also got word back from Ksports saying they they have discontinued the Alien DMC for the MZ125, so it looks like the SuperTrapp IDS2 is my only choice anyway. If anyone else has any other options, please let me know before tomorrow mid day! Wink
