looks like it would work well if used properly

after 9000 miles (14485 km) in 2 years 3 months
i think the RT125 would do very well as a police bike

in urban areas where speed is under 50 mph

although i dont like the top case i think a set of hard metal
saddle bags would be best with radio and an extra battery
in one to keep from stalling the motor at idle when you talk
on the radio
i am using a 25 watt alinco 2 meter fm ham radio on mine and the extra
battery was a big help when transmitting on high power

my wife and i are ham radio operators and i use the radio
on the bike to talk to her when we get off from work
and that way we dont have any cell phones

the only real problem is the antenna and the noise from the electrical
system but got that cleaned up ok and it works great
i can talk to the house from about 10 mile away without using a repeater
ar dave

ps i had my first 2-way radio on a bike in 1967 a 11Meter radio known
as a CB Radio in most of the world (5 channel 5 watts) brand was HANDIC
made in norway or sweden i think i spelled it ok

I am suprised at the French army having these bikes. I would'nt have thought they could have retreated fast enough on a 660 let alone a 125 Razz

Its because they are light and easy to ride no handed so that they can still surrender whilst on the move

THEY DID GET IT RIGHT In the summer of 1781, after six years of war, the American Army was struggling. The British occupied New York City. A second British army lead by General Lord Cornwallis ravaged the South - capturing Charleston, Richmond, and apparently was heading for the Chesapeake Bay.

then the french sailed up the Chesapeake Bay.

making it possible for us to help both the english and french in the bad days of ww1 and ww2

and it sure is nice that germany can now attack with nice motorcycles
in place of big ugly tanks

David

Right on all counts. Yes be did get beaten in America. But then again had the choice, retain America or Concentrate on India. At the time India looked the more attractive country to rule. Razz
As for helping out, your munitions were welocome I think the brits have more than made up for that in recent years. Razz Razz

Man am I glad to hear some reasonable humorous political banter... lately I get "kill all them gay hippie liberals" and "those awful rednecks are all bigoted meanies" and neither side makes any sense.

Same with global politics, I am glad we have allies but also glad the rest of the "first world" steps up and says "hey!" if we get a bit pushy. It's a small globe now, we need to start playing nice.

Besides... in a few years won't we all be speaking Chinese? While we are off chasing "the evil Muslims" (sic) there is much ado quietly happenin' farther East. They are even building "sport" bikes now, and I hear they ain't half bad.

Back to bikes...
hahaha
