I'm looking to see if anyone has one, or knows of one for sale in the SF bay area.

I am thinking about buying a new one, but I might as well see if anyone has a good deal
on a used one. The dealer in SF has one, but I've heard some dicey things about them so I figured I'd see what was about there. I doubt it'll sell anytime soon, the guy told me it had been there
for months heh.

Also, I still haven't found any posts to figure out what the difference between the "Street Moto" and the "Black Panther" are, other than colors...

BTW, First post, hopefully not the last...

Black panther model only in black, also has clear coated forks, the streetmoto are not.

some say the BP has different steering geometry than the streetmoto, if you check the website this appears to be true. I have ridden both, and they do feel different. Also heard the swing arm is shorter on the BP??

Hrm, interesting.
I didn't see anything on the website talking about the steering geometry, but who knows, I coulda missed it heh.
I think finding a used one might be tough, so I'm gonna have to bully the sales guy on price hehehe.

Ditto on the looking for an MZ baghira in the SF Bay area.

Want one as my first bike. Don't want to pay 6 grand at the dealer. You know, the usual.

Thanks.

I just moved to Oakland last week

I brought two of my bikes with me and one is a 03 black panther

I am thinking about selling the baghira and getting another bike to cruise around the street

PS. I LOVE THIS BIKE so i may change my mind

i bought it for 4500 from a forum member here, and spent a bit less than a grand on it

brand new pirelli super moto tires
vance hinse s4 (dual tip) high rise pipe
cleaned up the back plate with small signals
went through the motor, changed oil, filter and valve job

if i was to sell it, i want 5200 for it

I am around lake merrit in oakland

take care
sam

Carlos (et.al.),

To benefit both you and potential buyers, please post your mileage. California has some pretty messed-up laws regarding registering an out-of-state bike. Basically, the bike has to be CA-emissions certified (no 49-state models), and must have at least 7500 miles on it in order to register it here. If it's close to 7500 miles, the buyer can work to add on the mileage before registering it during the grace period.

<rant>
I'm not sure who pushed this law harder- CARB, or the dealers upset that potential customers could get a better deal from neighboring states. Either way, it screws the people the most.
