Hi MZ Riders,
My name is Thierry (Terry)...yeah dont ask its foreign.
I just bought a 2001 Skorpion Tour with 1800 miles from a guy that sells only used bikes outside of Milwaukee, WI. My other bike is a 1986 BMW K100RT that I love very much, great for long trips. THe MZ though is a blast and feels so much more lively than the Beemer in the twisties. I eventualy would like to take on the race course and take lessons (Keith Code type school). The MZ will also make a great bike for my fiance to learn to ride.
Cheers, _________________ Thierry L.

Yeah, welcome to the cool people club!
I saw your question about oil changes--did you not get an owners' manual? I think it calls for 20w-40, but I've never seen that anywhere. I've been using 15w50 in the non-winter months. Quantity seems is 2.7 liters, but I've heard that one should use less.
Other MZ resources are the Yahoo group MZOG, as well as the German language www.mzskorpion.de If nothing else, you can look up the MZ links they have listed there.
I had my bike out at Loudon, New Hampshire on Monday:

I use 10W40 all year round in the UK. Semi-synthetic, but understand that some members of this forum use fully synh with good results.
