Probably too little!! The one advantage of it now being a buyers market.

Still, you will have some spare ash to get a better, freer breathing endcan, and a nice pair of tyres (The MT60's are not the best, although they last quite well).

And welcome.

£3000 Very Happy

I had a test drive on one this morning, it was very strange at first as i have a cbr600FX.

i also found the rev limiter a little strange just as it gets going you need to change gear, but i think i will get used to it.

most important question, how do i wheelie it?

best introduce myself,

My name is Craig,

I come from the UK (North West).

I have had a cbr600fx for over a year now and i wanted to try something different so i decided to get a Black Panther Smile

I also wanted a bike I can mod for a hobby.

Going to get a new exhaust straight away as the standard is a bit ugly, also going to tidy up the tail.

From there going to get a big bore kit Very Happy

Also does anyone know if i can get a cdi that will let me rev a bit higher?

Cheers,

Craig

a tdm 850 ingition box is listed some where as working but may let it rev tooo high

and watch it these MZ bikes are addictive
i bought a rt125 to use as a run about town and 1 1/2 years later
bought a 1995 saxon tour you will have a shed full before you know it

TDM 850 boxes are good, but they are £300 new. One's on Ebay vary wildly-go from anything from £15 to over £100. Supermono racers use these, and they don't over rev the 660 motor, but come close to it. Give a useful bit more top end. Mind you, they usually rebuild their motors annually.

An end can will give an instant power hike off the throttle (at least mine did-was much quicker from a standstill) and a vastly better sound.
Carbon Can Co, Quill and Vampire seem popular in the UK, although most end cans can be grafted on with a link pipe made. The engines are not too sensitive to pipe changes (but dyno it to be on the safe side-make sure the fuelling is not too lean). I have bought and tried three different rear guards/plate holders, but the standard one cut down looks best. Just need to get a better looking rear light unit fitted (standard is an LC125), but not found one I like (yet).

A 686cc (102mm piston) conversion give loads more torque, and this combined with losing excess weight (pillion footrests, end can) etc will help it wheelie. They are no WR's or EXC KTM's, but have seen those that have the ability to wheelie get a Baggi up no problem. The conversion can be expensive, but a piston change will make a big difference. Adding a race camshaft will give it a bit more urge too. Money will be your limiting factor.

After years of having IL4's, I bought an XR650 supermoto, but that could not commute 600 miles per week, so i bought a Baggi. Then a Sport. Then then another. Now seriously now considering a 1000SF. MZ's get under your skin!

That was you then that outbid me-bugger. Have to give my borrowed one back (without even fitting it) tomorrow.

And Gaz, did you go to Harwich last Sunday? Saw one at Dunton as we were leaving, and two Baggi's at Harwich (parked close to each other too). Still not fixed the endcan on my Baggi, so went on the Skorpion Sport. Not another one there-how's that for exclusive?
