How Many of you gys are UK based?
Would you fancy a get together and BBQ at my place?
Let me know and I will organise it. If there are enough of you I could get MZ to lend me some demo bikes then you could all try them.

I am not sure how many owners are in teh UK. I know of 5 or 6 south of London and Bedfordshire isnt to far. I would attend depending on time of year ets. Also if the event goes on quite lete I would need somewhere to eiter pitch a tent or some where cheap to stay.

Guys,

I can organise an event for whenever you want.

If anyone needs to stay over you are welcome to pitch a tent in my garden at home, where there is off road gated parking for at least 20 bikes or there are plenty of reasonable cheap hotels nearby.

Look forward to hearing from you all soon.

All the best
Doug

Good idea in theory, but I'm at the other side of the country - 30 miles from Liverpool!
I guess it could be a nice day out - but 300 miles on a baggy sounds painful!! Smile

when u thinking of doing this?

I will arrange something for whenever you want. I am happy to accomodate people in my garden if needs be just bring a tent.

300 Miles on a baggy is nothing. I went to the MZ factory on one last year. But I'm ard as nails me. LOL.

Let me know when is the best time for you all and I'll sort it out.

Due to teh weather geting owrse and the nights now getting darker, may I suggest the spring, maybe after the clock change back to BST. I might come anyway, went to a camping do once in January. Mind you it was near Southend.

I'll definately come along, as it is great to meet owners who are happy with their choice of bike. Never met a dissatisfied MZ owner.

I've used my Baggi to get to & from Manchester on a few occassions-no less comfortable than my Sport.

I'll try and get up this week Doug to see the SF (if i can get away from work!).

Hi Doug
I'll come along, try to time it to coincide with my first service eh? I am on 400 kms now so about five weeks time when it is nice and cold and wet and we'll see who the tough guys really are... Of course I only have to come from London...

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update. I am off to Hospital on the 26th October for an op on my right leg so will be out of action for a while.

I think it would be best to organise a meet after the new year (cause I won't be riding until then). I will sort out some dates whilst I am off work and post them on here then you can decide amongst you when you want to meet up.

Have fun guys.
Doug

if you guys think a baggie is a hard ride my saxon tour is a beast
i did 600 miles on it in 11 hours and it beat the hell out of me
i think most of its problem is short wheel base and rear shocks
from the dark ages

It isn't too difficult to ride a Baggy for lots of miles if you keep to low speed - but in the UK, you are expected to travel at a minimum of 70mph - nearer 85mph on a bike, if you want to stay safe on the motorway, and out of the way of sleeping drivers!

Try doing that for 11 hours, and you'll fall off the end of the UK!!
