I have a 2005 Baghira and I put an M4 exhaust on it. It sounds great, the bike starts right up and runs great, but it pops like a bastard on deceleration. I'm thinking its too lean right from the factory. Any ideas?

It could also be an exhaust leak, check all your joints for full engagement and no leaks.

Hey Bronx, Im up here near Albany with an 04 BP and there is a guy in Newburg who has some posts in here on his incredible engine build. It would be greeat if you guys want to meet up at the Americade Rally in Lake George next June or something to go for a ride. I just brought my bike in for the winter and want to do some nice mods. It seems they do that!!

You need to get a tuning kit for the carb - although one great piece of advice on here was to remove the rubber surround - which stopped my popin!

Hey Bronx-
I concur: an '03 Baggy here with the M4 Carbon pipe: Popped like a bitch, which was easily fixed with a less-lean tuning (not 100% fixed, but much better), and the rubber-surround removal will also help, though I'm of a mind that it's there for a reason...

The popping is caused by a lean mixture off throttle. Try adjusting the needle and or the pilot jet screw.
