Hi to all fellow Sx (and Sm?) owners: first bike from me and I'm 42, 6' 5" and 15St. I do find the bike a little heavy especially when I'm trying to pick it up after falling off on a steep rutted muddy lane (happens a lot) but the only other complaint was it has a liquid acid cell as standard, useless at 180 degrees ! Replaced with a gell cell and all is well. This thing really is built like a tank and has survived everything I've thrown at it. I have Michelin comp 3's fitted so don't lean over much (ever) and does the short commute during the week well with >70 MPG.
OK I'm looking for simple mods (if there are any) I noticed just by removing the snorkel cover over the air filter the mid range power improved a little, any one tried modding the stock exhaust ?
Any info appeciated

hi and welcome! Very Happy

i have not modded my stock exhaust but i've a supertrapp slip-on.
but i prefer stock because the power difference is not that great and the slip-on is too loud for a daily commute(off road is a different story ).

have you tried moving the needle circlip to the third notch?

I was trying to find a spare up pipe to increase the diameter to 1 1/2 inches.
That should improve flow even the stock can. But of course I can NEVER find any parts here in Bermuda for my SX
