I've been wanting to pick up a Baghira for some time, but finally found the funds early this month. I've been following this group and the recent talk of MZ's questionable future in anticipation when I could finally buy one. There hasn't been much discussion of it since Dec/Jan; so bluntly, what is the current position of both MZ in the US and MZ abroad? If MZ is dead in the US only, will the current stock of bikes on dealer floors be it? I'd go buy one tomorrow, but if Cannondale was any indication, it would be a very bad idea (though ATK did salvage them, but that's a different matter). Thanks for the help.

we get great support from our european dealers here, BSA Regal being the one most use. David swears the support is better than when the US importer was doing it.

I have had my bike since 2001, it has done 15,000 miles, I have raced it, abused it, crashed it, and I have never had to order anything from MZ.
I got the failed front brake switch at a KTM shop, the battery from local store, and incidentals like chains, oil filters, ect from my local Yamaha shop. I would not worry about parts, maybe spare plastics... which I plan to duplicate in Carbon sometime....

love to see the finished result. Hope you complete them quicker that I fit the HID lamp I bought from you (three projects bikes done, and STILL the lamp sits in the box unused!!!!). One day, one day..........

yeah, I was going to make molds for all the parts I make, so they will be duplicateable.

have been toying with clay modeling, I think I am going to do a carbon skid plate, very curvy and engine hugging, and a rallye style fairing based around the buell dual headlamps that can be had cheap at buell. I will post pics of the progress.....
