CM,
I appreciate the details on your wheel set up. I know hard for you to describe it in English. The Yamaha XT600X is not sold here in the USA. I will not be able to get a disc thru a Yamaha dealer here. Can anyone suggest how I can get one? Perhaps a Yamaha dealer in the UK that will ship to the USA? Is anyone making aftermarket replacement discs for the XT600X?
It would benefit me nicely if I could get my hands on one. I use my Baghira for street riding mostly with the 17” Skorpion mags and Brembo front caliper, however, occasionally I will put the 18 x 21” wheels w/ knobby tires on it and do some dirt riding. This means changing to the Grimeca caliper and bleeding the brakes- time consuming. If I can get the XT600X disc installed on the 21” wheel the change will go much faster and I will have better braking in the dirt. |

BRAKING sells their disks to the USA, or not?
If they do, check out their site or look for a BRAKING dealer next to you.
Maybe ask www.brems-spur.de if they´ll send you a disk. It costs 185€.
A friend drives his Baghi only with the original Sumo brake, even if he has mounted the Enduro wheels. It looks great but I guess that the BRAKING disk + a Brembo 4 Caliper should be a little bit heavy for riding in the dirt.
Or search a different disk, perhaps from Brembo or whatever you can get there The "Innendurchmesser" must be 132mm and the "Lochabstand" (distance between 2 screws....from one side to the other) 150mm.

How do the police know the brake is not original? I mean, like, do they know every bike?  impossible. |

@cat: Your´re right, but a friend has a Baghi too....with the original brake ( if I can call this "thing" brake) and so everything is all right IF the police has some questions.

at least it should be a 320mm so it looks like a proper sm disc. 
ja, i'm just trying to get an idea / a 'feel', for the cops and the enforcement in different countries. sometimes it varies; it's not so much the law but how much the police enforce it - or how much there are police around - in country areas vs city areas and suburbs.
there is this guy in Rome who put photos of his RMZ450 sm on supermotojunkie.com ... just enduro lights, no mirror, no turn signals. he said the cops are too busy with tourists and protecting politicians  - and he used to be a cop. ! - and now he's a bandit. 
...but if you don't have a licence or the bike is not registered/licenced, then it's better to have the bike looking legal. (although here that is only about the plate and the lights, not brakes or anything like that.) |

Our cops are stupid. They know NOTHING about a MZ but I don´t want to test it out what happened if I drive without mirrors. Especially now in summer when all these lame tourists are sneaking around on the street it´s better to watch your back.
I mean I get enough attraction with the Baghi, everyone turns around if he/she hears the bike or see it.
Hrrr, a RMZ 450 SM... cool bike. If I have enough money it should be possible to drive this bike beside the Baghi or something with more than 450ccm....

Cops, stupid? What to say about the ones here, in this part of the world. But sometimes stupid traffic cops is better for us.
Mirrors..I don't like to ride without mirrors and I need both sides.
Tourists, that could be dangerous. !
The RMZ, it's a nice bike, but I think after the cost of wheels and everything to make it sm, better to just buy a Husaberg or KTM from someone who needs to sell it.

Some news
Now I have "braked" a SKorpion with a 13mm Brembo pump and I have to say that it´s better than my 16mm Nissin. You have a better feeling and more space at the lever to brake.
So I´ll mount a 13mm Brembo

Is it a radial Brembo?
The 13mm Brembo is what came on many bikes - Ducatis, BMW GS,... usually the old kind with the reservoir and the mirror mount included in it. Not nice. |
