My 2002 SM has developed a hint of head shake, its obvious at 120 KPH, but if you pay attention it's noticable even at 60-70 KPH. I know on many bikes you can tighten up the head bearings with a collar located between the upper tripple-clamp and the head. The SM doesn't seem to have such a ring, unless it is located underneath the bearing end-cap. Does anyone here know how one goes about tightening the head bearings on this bike? _________________ 2002 125-SM |

there ball bearings not tapered
and check the rear wheel linement the tail may be wagging the dog
also air in tires and funny tread wear on front
my oem front tire is a bit funny as i ran it under inflated

well my rear wheel wasn't visibly off, but I checked it with a tape measure (and adjusted my chain at the same time) VIOLA! no more shake. thanks! _________________ 2002 125-SM |
